AI Knowledge Map: How To Classify AI Technologies by Francesco Corea via @kdnuggets

What follows is then an effort to draw an architecture to access knowledge on AI and follow emergent dynamics, a gateway of pre-existing knowledge on the topic that will allow you to scout around for additional information and eventually create new knowledge on AI.

I love the diagram and explanations in this article - it is worth printing and keeping to hand.

The Competitive Landscape for Machine Intelligence by Shivon Zilis and James Cham via @HarvardBiz

Two years ago, Shivon Zilis of Bloomberg Beta first published her widely circulated report, The Current State of Machine Intelligence. In this year's update, Shivon Zilis and James Cham offer insights into how the "Stack" of building blocks is maturing and what all businesses need to do NOW in order to survive and outlast their competitors. The current state of machine intelligence 2.0 via @radar

The current state of machine intelligence 2.0 via @radar   - A year ago, Shivon Zilis mapped the machine intelligence ecosystem. But it's been a busy year in machine learning. In this post, she updates her original mapping and considers autonomous systems and focused startups among other major changes that have been seen in machine intelligence in past year.

I found this fascinating.

Gadi Lenz of AGT International discusses the challenges that companies will face in handling the new type of data that the Internet of Things will deliver.

Good article by Gadi Lenz on Data Informed.  I agree with him - we need to work out the how and the what or all this data we are going to get from IoT.

Visual Information Theory via @ch402

Chris Olah's post is an interesting read on a visual approach to probability and information theory. It's worth a look.

I really like this article and the clear way it explains everything. My advice would be to get a hot drink and sit and read this carefully - it needs your full attention and commitment to read through to the end.

We are data: the future of machine intelligence via @ftmag by @dougcoupland

Thought-provoking article about freedom and control in a world driven by metadata. The internet is going to do to us whatever it is going to do - and it’s far too late to stop it.
